About

I am an Assistant Professor at the department of economics at Humboldt University. I am applied microeconomist, focusing on empirical political economy, migration and development economics. I obtained my PhD from the Paris School of Economics under the supervision of Hillel Rapoport. I spent the academic year of 2015/16 as an associate at the department of economics at Harvard University under the sponsorship of Alberto Alesina.

I am a Research Affiliate at IZA, a fellow at the Institut Convergences Migrations and the Berlin Centre for Empirical Research on Migration and Integration (BIM). I am also a member of the Ethics Committee of the German Economic Association (VfS) and the Minorities in Economics Committee of the European Economic Association.
