The RFBerlin Applied Economics Seminar series brings leading researchers to Berlin to share their latest work and engage with our community. We are pleased to welcome Benjamin Moll for this session, where he will share his work.
Benjamin Moll is the Sir John Hicks Chair in Economics and Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is also a Fellow of the Econometric Society, a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research, and an affiliate of the Bureau for Research and Economic Analysis of Development. His research focuses on macroeconomics, inequality, and the distributional consequences of economic policy. He studies how differences in income, wealth, productivity, and financial constraints among households and firms shape macroeconomic outcomes and influence monetary and fiscal policy. His recent work also examines expectations formation, economic crises, and the macroeconomic effects of energy-market disruptions. Moll received his PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago and has received several major distinctions, including the Bernácer Prize, the Banque de France–TSE Prize in Monetary Economics and Finance, and the Calvó-Armengol International Prize in Economics.
