Amanda Dahlstrand is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Zurich, where she is also affiliated with the University Research Priority Program “Equality of Opportunity.” Her research lies at the intersection of labour, organisational, development, and health economics, with a particular focus on how new technologies affect work, inequality, and the provision of healthcare. She uses large firm-level and administrative datasets to study topics including productivity, labour-market organisation, healthcare access, and the spatial distribution of economic opportunities. Her research has examined the effects of digital healthcare and how matching patients with providers of different skills can influence both the quality and equity of service provision. Dahlstrand received her PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Microsoft Research New England.
