The RFBerlin events bring leading researchers to Berlin to present their latest work and engage with local community. This time, we are pleased to welcome W. Bentley MacLeod (Yale University) for a special keynote as part of the RFBerlin Workshop on Topics in Applied Microeconomics 2026.

W. Bentley MacLeod is a Visiting Professor and Senior Research Scientist at Yale University and the Sami Mnaymneh Professor of Economics Emeritus and Professor of International and Public Affairs Emeritus at Columbia University. He is also a Fellow of the RFBerlin Network. His research focuses on labor economics, organizational economics, and law and economics, with particular emphasis on relational contracts and the economics of professional work. His current research examines the behavior and incentives of professionals, including judges, doctors, and police officers. He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society and the Society of Labor Economists and has served as President of both the American Law and Economics Association and the Society for Institutional and Organizational Economics.
