About Alicia Adsera

Alicia Adserà is a Senior Research Scholar and Lecturer in Economics at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs and Director of Graduate Studies at the Office of Population Research. Her research focuses on economic demography, particularly fertility behavior and preferences in low-fertility settings, exploring how employment characteristics and labor market conditions influence family decisions. She also studies migration, including immigrant fertility, the role of political and economic factors in migration flows, and the well-being and labor outcomes of migrants. Finally, she is interested in political economy, particularly in how individuals value different aspects of society. Prior to Princeton, she held academic positions at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Ohio State University, and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Ph. D. Economics Boston University
