About Jim Albrecht
Jim Albrecht is Professor Emeritus of Economics at Georgetown University. He has a Masters in Statistics and a Ph.D. in Economics from UC Berkeley and was awarded an honorary doctorate from Stockholm University in 2023. He has been a Visiting Professor at Gothenburg University, the Vrije University of Amsterdam, Stockholm University, Osaka University, the University of British Columbia, the University of Melbourne, University College London, and UC Santa Barbara.
His current research focuses on equilibrium search theory with applications to the labor and housing markets. He also works on labor market outcomes of women with a particular focus on Sweden.
