About Alexander Yarkin
I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University College Dublin. I am also a research affiliate at IZA Institute of Labor Economics and UC Davis Global Migration Center.
I graduated from Brown University with Ph.D. in Economics in 2023 and spent 2 years as a postdoc at UC Davis and LISER.
I work on Labor Economics, Political Economy, and Macro/Growth. My recent research focuses on: (i) Immigration, ICTs, and social networks; (ii) Xenophobia and populism; (iii) The political economy of growth and structural change; (iv) Religion, gender, and labor markets
