I am a Professor of Economics and a Development Economist. Specialising in the economics of migration, health and education, my research studies the role of public policy in improving human development. Currently it focuses on the integration of refugees and migrants in host countries, the impacts of border closure policies on irregular migrants, the health of migrants and the design of legalisation policies to weaken smuggling markets.
