About Aline Bütikofer
Aline Bütikofer is a Professor at the Department of Economics at the Norwegian School of Economics. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Bern.
Aline’s work research provides new insights into how public policy shapes health, education, and labor market inequality. She contributes to estimating the long-term effects of health investments and socioeconomic disparities in health and healthcare access, with a strong focus on identifying causal effects. Her work has documented mortality inequality in different countries and examined how medical guidelines and innovations influence health and productivity.
