About Francesco Amodio
Francesco Amodio is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and the Institute for the Study of International Development at McGill University in Montreal. He obtained his PhD from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. Francesco studies the private sector in low- and middle-income countries, focusing on how industrial development—through firms, productivity, trade, industrial policy, and labor markets—can drive economic growth and reduce poverty. He is also a Research Affiliate at CEPR and BREAD, and was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Yale University.
