About Hartmut Berghoff

Hartmut Berghoff is Director of Institute for Economic and Social History at the University Göttingen in Germany. He had been Director of the German Historical Institute in Washington D.C. from 2008 to 2015. His fields of expertise are the business history, the history of consumption, and immigration history. He has held visiting professorships at Harvard, Paris, Zürich, Henley Business School, and the University of California San Diego.
