About Bastian Schulz

Bastian Schulz is Associate Professor of Economics at Aarhus University in Denmark.

He received a Ph.D. in Economics from LMU Munich in 2018 and was a visiting graduate student at the University of Chicago in 2016. Before joining Aarhus University, Bastian worked as a junior economist at the ifo Center for Labor and Demographic Economics in Munich, the Chair of Public Finance (LMU Munich), the National Bank of Poland, and the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
Bastian's research interests lie at the intersection of macro-labor and family economics. He studies wage dispersion, sorting patterns in labor and marriage markets, interactions between labor and marriage markets, and gender differences in labor market outcomes.
