• Current affiliation: (Honorary) Professor of Economics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Previous affiliations: Lecturer at the University of Oxford (1988-89), Chief Economist at the Bank of Spain's Quantitative Studies Division (1990-1997) and Professor of Economics at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence (2014-2019).
