Elias Einiö is a Chief Researcher at the VATT Institute for Economic Research. Before joining VATT, he worked at the London School of Economics and the University of Helsinki. His research interests are in the fields of the Economics of Innovation, Public Economics, and Labor Economics. His work examines the role of knowledge and social spillovers in shaping innovation and labor market outcomes. Another strand of his research focuses on the impacts of public policies on innovation, growth, and labor markets. He has published his research in leading economics journals, including the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, Review of Economics and Statistics, and American Economic Journal: Economic Policy.
