About Gil S. Epstein

Gil S. Epstein is a professor of Economics at Bar-Ilan University and former Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences. He is a Senior Research Fellow at the Taub Center, Research Fellow at the IZA Institute in Bonn, and affiliated with other research centers including CReAM (UCL, London), GLO (Germany), and Ld’A (Milan).

Gil is a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Population Economics, Economics, and the Journal of Economics, Management and Religion. His research focuses on labor economics, migration, political economy, public and social policy, and the impact of artificial intelligence on the labor market.

He serves as a member of the National Expert Forum advising the Israeli government on artificial intelligence, Co-chair of the government expert working group on AI policy focused on the future of employment and AI literacy.

Additionally, Gil is a member of the advisory committee to the Israeli Civil Service Commission on the impact of AI on human capital in the public sector
