I am a professor of economics at the Stockholm School of Economics. My research interests are at the intersection of macroeconomics and labor economics. A key focus of my research is on understanding how tax and transfer programs affect employment. I have, for example, studied the role of social insurance in accounting for cross-country differences in retirement patterns, alternative ways of achieving fiscal sustainability of retirement programs, and the effect of childcare subsidies on household decisions.
