About Johanna Rickne
Johanna Rickne is a Swedish economist and tenured Professor of Economics at the Swedish Institute for Social Research (SOFI) at Stockholm University. Her research, which spans labor economics, gender economics, and political economics, has been published in top journals such as the American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics, and American Political Science Review. She is a research fellow at CEPR and a recipient of the prestigious Assar Lindbeck Medal for her work on gender equality and political selection. Rickne has studied topics such as sexual harassment in the workplace, the dynamics of political candidacy, and the gendered consequences of promotions on personal lives. She also serves as a co-editor of the European Journal of Political Economy (EJPE).
