About Libertad González
Libertad González is a Professor of Economics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and the Barcelona School of Economics. She received her PhD from Northwestern University in 2003, and her research lies in the areas of labor, public, health, and gender economics. Her work has been published in many international journals, including the Journal of the European Economic Association, the Economic Journal, the Journal of Labor Economics, the Journal of Public Economics, the American Economic Journal, the Journal of Human Resources, the Journal of Health Economics, PNAS, etc. She was recently the holder of an ERC Consolidator grant, and a co-editor at the Journal of Demographic Economics. She has been President of the European Society of Population Economics (ESPE), and she is currently vice-president of the Spanish Economics Association.
