Lowell Taylor is an economist whose work examines labor markets, education, health, and social mobility. He is the H. John Heinz III University Professor of Economics at Carnegie Mellon University, where he has been a faculty member since 1990. For more than a decade, he served as Principal Investigator of the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth 1997 (NLSY97) at NORC at the University of Chicago. He also served as an economist the Council of Economic Advisers.
