About Marie Louise Schultz-Nielsen

Marie Louise Schultz-Nielsen is Senior Researcher and Chief of Projects at the ROCKWOOL Foundation in Copenhagen. Marie Louise received her PhD in Economics from Aarhus University and her master from the University of Copenhagen.

Her research interests include analysis of immigrants’ skill formation and labor market performance. Her analyses cover both refugees, labor immigrants and family-reunified immigrants. For second-generation immigrants in particular, the relationship between educational achievement and family formation is an object of interest. She also focuses on the settlement of immigrants and natives as well as the derived effects of refugees’ initial (random) settlement.
