Mathilde Munoz is an Assistant Professor of Economics at UC Berkeley, working at the intersection of public economics, international trade, and economic geography. Her research studies how economic integration and the rising mobility of people, firms, and capital across borders and regions reshape local economies and national policies, and whether governments can still tax, redistribute, and develop lagging regions when their tax and regulatory bases are mobile.
