Mike Elsby is a Professor of Economics at the University of Edinburgh. His research interests broadly cover the macroeconomics of labour markets. Mike's recent work has analysed the dynamics of worker mobility across labour markets, sectors, firms, jobs, and labour market states, and their interaction with secular and cyclical trends in joblessness.
