About Marie Paul
Marie Paul is a professor at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Her research investigates women’s careers in the labour market, maternal health and employment, the effects of all-day schools, regional mobility, and the impact of active labour market policies and sanctions. She has a strong interest in microeconometric methods for evaluating treatment effects and the scientific use of process-generated data.
Professor Paul received a PhD in Economics from the University of Mannheim. She currently serves as chairperson of the standing field committee 'Labour and Population Economics' of the 'Verein für Socialpolitik'. She is also a member of the Ruhr Graduate School in Economics and the Research Training Group 'Regional Disparities and Economic Policy'.
