About Victor Lavy
I have been Professor of Economics at the University of Warwick, England, since 2011, William Haber Chair Professor of Economics from 1979 to 2019 at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem , and a Chaired Professor of Economics at Royal Holloway, University of London, from 2006 to 2011. I served as the chair of the economics department at the Hebrew University from 1995-1998 and the Director of the Falk Research Institute in Jerusalem from 1998-2001. I was a visiting professor at the University of Pennsylvania, MIT, Boston University; Stanford University, an the Hoover Institution.
I was a board member of Bureau for Research in the Economic Analysis of Development (BREAD) from 2003-2024, and I am a Research Associate/Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), Cambridge, MA, USA, the Center for Economics and Policy Research (CEPR), London. UK, Center for Economic Performance (CEP), London. UK, 2006-2012, Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA), and the International Growth Centre (IGC).
