About Olivier Deschenes
Olivier Deschenes is Professor of Economics at the University of California Santa Barbara, where he is also affiliated with the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management. He is Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), a Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA). He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University and a B.A. and M.A. in Economics from the University of Montreal.
His broad research agenda focuses on measuring the benefits and costs associated with environmental policies. His recent research has focused on the impacts of climate change and climate change adaptation on human health and economic productivity, and on the economic, environmental, and equity consequences of energy transitions.
