I am a Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Mannheim, a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research, and at RFBerlin, and a member of the Editorial Board of Explorations in Economic History. My research combines insights from economic history and applied microeconomics to examine questions related to immigration, demography, and structural change. I hold a PhD in economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
