About Peter Fredriksson
Peter Fredriksson's research interest is labor economics, broadly defined. He has published in journals such as the Quarterly Journal of Economics, American Economic Review, Economic Journal, Journal of Labor Economics, AEJ: Applied Economics, Journal of Human Resources, and the Journal of Business & Economic Statistics. He is a member of the Royal Academy of Sciences and the Prize Committee for the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel.
Peter Fredriksson received his PhD in 1997 at Uppsala University. He was the Director-General of the IFAU 2006-2010, professor at Uppsala University 2007-2010, and professor at Stockholm University 2010-2017. Since 2017 he is back at Uppsala University.
He has been the editor of the Scandinavian Journal of Economics (SJE) and associate editor at the Economic Journal. He is currently associate editor at the SJE. He has been a board member at the Swedish Council for Health, Working Life and Social Research (Forte), a member of the Council for Research Infrastructures at the Swedish Research Council, and director of the Uppsala Center for Labor Studies. He currently serves on the program committees for welfare and intervention at the Rockwool foundation.
