About Pia Pinger
I am professor at the Department of Economics of the University of Cologne, MPI Research Fellow, and CEPR and CESifo Affiliate. I am also Director of the Reinhard Selten Institute and PI at the excellence cluster ECONtribute - Markets & Public Policy as well as the Bonn-Mannheim CRC on societal challenges. Previously, I was employed as an assistant professor at the University of Bonn, and I obtained my Ph.D. from the University of Mannheim.
My research revolves around human capital and socioeconomic inequalities. It includes work on educational decision-making, early childhood health, applied microeconometrics, and behavioral economics.
