About Kai Liu
Kai Liu is currently an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Economics at the University of Cambridge. He holds a PhD in Economics from Johns Hopkins University and degrees from the University of Hong Kong. Before joining Cambridge in 2015, Kai was an Assistant Professor at the Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen, Norway. His research focuses on applied microeconomics, with a specialization in labor and public economics. His recent work explores the intergenerational effects of childcare and preschool programs, the roles of maternal and paternal inputs in child development, and the impacts of education reforms on technological change and the labor market.
