About Rainer Winkelmann
Rainer Winkelmann is Professor of Economics at the University of Zurich since 2001. He holds MA degrees from the University of Konstanz and from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Ph.D. from the University of Munich (1993). He taught at Dartmouth College, USA, and the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, and was visiting professor at Harvard University, Syracuse University and UCLA. His research interests are in micro-econometrics, in particular models for discrete data and panel data, with applications to social policy analysis, including work, family and well-being.
