About Simonetta Longhi

Simonetta Longhi is Professor of Economics at the University of Reading. She is an applied economist whose research focuses on inequalities in labour market outcomes, particularly those related to gender, ethnicity, and disability. Her work also explores unemployment dynamics, on-the-job search behaviour, retirement decisions, and immigrant integration. She primarily uses large-scale individual and household datasets, including the UK Labour Force Survey, the British Household Panel Study, and the UK Household Longitudinal Study.
