About Stefan Wolter

Stefan Wolter is Managing Director of the Swiss Coordination Centre for Research in Education (www.skbf-csre.ch) and a Professor of Economics at the University of Bern, where he heads the Centre for Research in Economics of Education (www.ffb.unibe.ch). Among others he is also Vice-President of the Governing Board of the Centre for Educational Research and Innovation (CERI) and Member of the Education Policy Committee of the OECD in Paris and member of the scientific council of the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) and the German Council of Education Ministers (KMK). His main research interests are labour economics and economics of education. Together with Prof. U. Backes-Gellner (University of Zurich) he is co-director of the Swiss Leading House on Economics of Education (www.leadinghouse.ch). He is a research fellow of CESifo, GLO and IZA. His publications include articles in: American Economic Review (P&P), Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Human Resources, European Economic Review, Labour Economics, Economics of Education Review, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, Journal of Population Economics, Economica, and many more.
