About Thomas Dohmen
Thomas Dohmen is Professor of Applied Microeconomics at the University of Bonn and Spokesperson of the Cluster of Excellence ECONtribute: Markets & Public Policy. He studied economics at Maastricht University, where he received his Master's degree (M.A.) in Economics in December 1998 and his doctoral degree in May 2003. He also holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick (England). In his doctoral studies, he specialized in labor economics and applied microeconometrics.
His current research interests are in behavioral and experimental economics, applied microeconometrics, personnel and organizational economics. His research in the field of economics and psychology focuses on the measurement, origin and formation of risk, time and social preferences, personality and skills over the life course and their impact on life outcomes. His scientific articles have appeared in journals such as the American Economic Review, Review of Economic Studies, Review of Economics and Statistics, Economic Journal, Journal of the European Economic Association, Journal of Public Economics, European Economic Review, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Quarterly Journal of Economics, and Science, among others.
