Rudolf Winter-Ebmer is Professor for labor economics at the Johannes Kepler University of Linz, Austria and Research Professor at the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) in Vienna. His research interest is applied labor economics, in particular issues of migration, ageing, wage determination, unemployment, gender studies and education economics as well as industrial organisation and online markets. 2002-2024 he was the Austrian country team leader for the “Survey on Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe” (SHARE). He was President of the European Society of Population Economics (ESPE)and 2020-2022 was President of the Austrian Economic Association (NOeG).
