The RFBerlin Applied Economics Seminar series brings leading researchers to Berlin to share their latest work and engage with our community. We are pleased to welcome Mikko Silliman (Aalto University) for this session, where he will share his work.
Mikko Silliman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Aalto University and an affiliate at the Helsinki Graduate School of Economics, FAIR center at the Norwegian School of Economics, CESifo, IZA, and J-PAL. He completed his Ph.D. at Harvard University.
His research focuses on questions at the intersection of education policy and labor economics. He is particularly interested in trying to understand how education systems and labor markets can be designed to reduce inequalities and sustain employment through changes in the nature of work.
