The ROCKWOOL Foundation Berlin – Institute for the Economy and the Future of Work (RFBerlin) is pleased to host the “Workshop on the Economics of Identity” an event organized in cooperation with Collaborative Research Center Transregio “Rationality and Competition” (CRC 190 TRR), Hertie School and Humboldt University of Berlin.
Identity plays a central role in shaping economic behavior, political dynamics, and long-term development trajectories. From discrimination in labor markets to the historical persistence of identity and the mobilization of identity-based movements, understanding both the drivers and consequences of identity formation is crucial across societies. The Workshop on the Economics of Identity will address these and related issues, showcasing recent research and fostering collaboration among junior and senior scholars.
