Arunima Marwaha is currently pursuing a master’s in economics at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Previously, she worked as a Program Associate at CEGIS, a not-for-profit organization that supports state governments in India to achieve better development outcomes. Her work involved data cleaning and analysis to test hypotheses and design targeted interventions, ensuring the availability of high-quality data for informed decision-making by state governments.
She completed her bachelor’s in economics from University of Delhi where she pursued projects on gender and financial independence, corruption and suicide rates in BRICS countries, and impact of climate change on tourism.
She also interned with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India where she conducted an econometric research on the participation of India’s manufacturing sector in Global Value Chains (GVC) and contributed to drafting deliverables aimed at promoting sustainable and collaborative investments under India’s presidency of the G20.
