The ROCKWOOL Foundation Berlin – Institute for the Economy and the Future of Work (RFBerlin) is organizing a conference on migration.
The conference will feature innovative research on various aspects of migration, including population movement, migration impacts on receiving and sending countries, the experiences of migrants, and public attitudes toward immigration.

The call for papers is now closed. We are grateful for the impressive number of submissions and thank each participant for their contribution. Authors will be notified of the review outcomes by the deadline of 1 December.

Program

The RFBerlin Migration Forum will begin on 13th March 2025 at 9:00 and conclude on 14th March 2025 around 17:30. The exact program details will be published soon.

Keynote speakers:

Leah Boustan (Princeton University)
Leah Boustan is a Professor of Economics at Princeton University, where she also serves as the Director of the Industrial Relations Section. Her research lies at the intersection between economic history and labor economics.  Professor Boustan is co-director of the Development of the American Economy Program at the National Bureau of Economic Research. She also serves as co-editor at the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics. Professor Boustan was named an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellow in 2012 and won the IZA Young Labor Economists Award in 2019.


Sandra Sequeira (London School of Economics)
Sandra Sequeira is an Associate Professor of Development Economics in the Department of International Development, a research affiliate at STICERD, CEPR, Novafrica and the International Growth Centre. Her research interests are in development economics, political economy, trade and consumer behaviour. She holds a PhD from Harvard University, an MA from the Fletcher School and a BA from Universidade Nova in Lisbon, Portugal.
