The latest RFBerlin Research Insight “Who Is Left Out? Collective Bargaining and Low-Wage Workers in Germany” by Lutz Bellmann, Christian Dustmann and Bernd Fitzenberger has attracted media attention in Germany. In the insight, the authors highlight new research showing that collective bargaining coverage has declined over recent decades and is now lowest among the workers who stand to benefit from it most; those in low-wage jobs.
